One slab from the counter to the underside of the cabinets — or the ceiling — instead of tile. No grout lines, nothing to interrupt the stone.
See all the work →A full-height backsplash carries the countertop material straight up the wall as a single slab — behind the range, behind the sink, sometimes the whole run. It's the detail that makes a kitchen feel designed rather than assembled, and it's the one people notice first.
Because the slab is vertical and at eye level, the layout is everything. We book-match where the movement calls for it, run the vein continuously from counter to wall, and cut window and outlet openings from the slab before it leaves the shop.
It works in marble, quartzite, quartz, and porcelain. Porcelain's large, thin slabs make it especially good for floor-to-ceiling walls.
