All porcelain →Porcelain is the newest surface in the shop and, in some ways, the toughest. Fired from clay and minerals at extreme heat, a large-format porcelain slab is heat-proof, UV-stable, scratch-resistant and completely non-porous — you can set a hot pan straight on it, it won't fade in a sunroom, and it resists staining. The color and veining are printed and run right to a matte or polished finish.
