The shop

What to expect when you visit

Boutique Stone is a stone fabrication and installation shop at 10125 Pacific Ave in Franklin Park, IL, with 25+ years in stone. Visits are by appointment, so there is time to look properly and talk through the project.

Bring the drawing

The most useful thing to bring is a cabinet or kitchen drawing. If the cabinets are already in, a sketch with measurements and a few photos work too. Note the edge you like, whether you want backsplashes, and the job location. We do not talk square feet until there is a drawing, because the layout decides how the slabs are used.

Choose the slab

Slabs can be viewed at the shop by appointment. For natural stone, choose the actual slab rather than a sample; veining and color vary from slab to slab. The slab you approve is the slab that gets installed.

Template, fabricate, install

After the order, we template on site. Sinks are usually picked up on templating day and checked against the template. Once every detail is set and the material is ordered, installation usually follows within about two weeks.
