Franklin Park, Illinois · Premium Stone Fabrication

Some countertops
are installed.
Ours are placed.

Stone has been quarried from the earth for thousands of years — each slab carrying the pressure of mountains, the trace of ancient seas, time compressed into pattern. We believe the material deserves to be understood before it is installed.

The work
before the work

Every vein, every movement, every shift in tone tells you where a stone belongs. Our work is quiet. Our standards are not. We are fabricators who know stone from the slab to the surface — and who take the work personally, because the work is personal.

Where stone
lives in a home

The same precision that goes into a kitchen island goes into every surface we touch. Each application has its own demands — its own relationship with light and use, its own reason for choosing a particular stone.

01
Kitchens

The kitchen is where stone lives most visibly. Every morning the light falls differently. We think about edge profiles, overhang, waterfall legs — the details that no visitor can name but everyone notices. Nothing here is accidental.

02
Bathrooms

A bathroom should feel like a decision was made — not a renovation, a decision. To use a stone that carries drama, to set a vanity that stops you at the door. The best bathrooms we've worked on have a point of view. We help you find yours.

03
Fireplaces

Stone was born from heat. It belongs at the fire. Full surround, honed finish, floor-to-ceiling presence — or quiet restraint with clean edges, the stone allowed to be exactly what it is. Nothing added. Nothing removed.

04
Outdoor Living

The same stone that anchors your kitchen can anchor your patio. We fabricate outdoor kitchen countertops, bar tops, fire pit surrounds, and pool coping — materials selected for beauty and engineered for Illinois weather.

05
Shower Surrounds

Water and stone have always belonged together. A well-fabricated shower surround is not a backdrop — it is the room. Book-matched slabs, continuous veining, precision-cut niches. The stone reads as a whole, not a collection of parts.

06
Commercial

From hospitality to retail to corporate interiors — the same slab-level care applied to commercial scale. Our shop in Franklin Park is equipped for large projects without sacrificing the precision that defines every piece we make.

Six materials.
Endless character.

Each stone has a personality. Each personality has a home. We know these materials by name, by aisle, by how they behave under different light.

Every slab has come from somewhere. Every room is going somewhere. Finding where they meet — that is the work. We visit our partner warehouses personally, in person, under the light, with time to decide.

01
Marble
Classic · Timeless · Alive

The most storied stone in human history. Formed under pressure, marked by the movement of the earth itself. Marble rewards those who understand it — its softness is its sensitivity, its veining is its voice.

Calacatta Gold · Statuario · Carrara · Thassos · Arabescato · Calacatta Borghini

02
Granite
Durable · Dense · Reliable

Formed from cooled magma deep beneath the earth's crust. Impervious to heat, resistant to scratch. A workhorse that moves through a space with quiet authority.

Black Beauty · White Fantasy · Blue Pearl · Giallo Ornamental · Santa Cecilia · Absolute Black

03
Quartzite
Bold · Dramatic · Natural

Harder than granite, more dramatic than marble. The movement in quartzite reads like brushstroke — gold running through white, grey shifting into silver. It does not look engineered. It looks discovered.

Taj Mahal · Fantasy Brown · Patagonia · White Macaubas · Sea Pearl · Mont Blanc · Super White

04
Quartz
Consistent · Low-Maintenance · Modern

Engineered from natural quartz crystals and bound for performance. The choice for families who want the feeling of stone with the consistency of a non-porous surface. Practical is not the opposite of elegant.

Silestone · Cambria · Caesarstone · Dekton · Calacatta Nuvo · Eternal Statuario · White Attica

05
Soapstone
Historic · Ages Beautifully · Unique

The oldest kitchen stone. Dense, non-porous, heat-resistant — and the one material that grows more beautiful as it ages. A soapstone counter develops a patina over time, absorbing oils and use into a surface that looks like it belongs.

06
Porcelain
Versatile · Indoor-Outdoor · Contemporary

Large format porcelain slabs achieve what nature cannot — extreme consistency across vast surfaces. Suitable for floors, walls, outdoor, and counters. Virtually impervious to stain, scratch, UV, or weather.

Dekton · Neolith · Atlas Plan · Laminam · Porcelanosa

Four steps.
No surprises.

We do not send generic quotes. We listen first. Every project begins with a conversation and ends when the room tells us it is finished. Not before.

Begin a Project
01

Consultation

We begin with a conversation — about the space, the light, how you live. No catalogs yet. Just listening. The right stone reveals itself when we understand what surrounds it.

02

Slab Selection

We source from our trusted partners and visit the yard with you. You see the full slab before any cutting begins — because a slab is not a sample. It is a commitment.

03

Fabrication

Precision templating. CNC cutting. Hand-finished edges. Our shop in Franklin Park is where the material becomes the room — and where nothing leaves until it is right.

04

Installation

Our team places the stone. Not installs it. The seams, the overhangs, the relationship to the space — every detail attended to until the work is right. Then we leave.

Where our stone comes from

We know these warehouses by name and by aisle. When you come to us with a project, we go find the slab together — in person, under the light, with time to decide.

If you have ever wished your fabricator would simply show up, understand the drawing, and care about the outcome — we would like to talk. We visit sites. We walk warehouses with you. When the project is finished, your client never knows we were there. That is exactly how we prefer it.

in Franklin Park

Boutique Stone was founded on a single conviction: that natural stone deserves to be handled with precision, placed with intention, and understood before it is sold. We are not a showroom that subcontracts fabrication. We are fabricators who know stone from the slab to the surface.

Our shop is in Franklin Park, Illinois. Our work has been placed in homes across the Chicago area, suburban Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Michigan. Every project is handled by a team that takes the work personally.

We are a small operation by choice. The kind of work we do asks for that. We do not measure success by volume. We measure it by the projects we look back on and say: that is right. That is exactly right.

Every project starts

We do not send generic quotes. Tell us about the space — the light, the room, what you are hoping to feel when you walk in. That is where every project begins. And it costs nothing to start.
